Albendazole Tablet – Anzol for Infections caused by worms


Anzol tablet by DM Pharma is an antiparasitic drug used to treat and prevent parasitic infections caused by tapeworms, pinworms, and hookworms. It was developed in 1975 and is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines, the most effective and safe medicines needed in a health system.

Albendazole – Albendazole, also known as albendazolum, is an antiparasitic used in the prevention and treatment of parasitic infections caused by tapeworms, pinworms, and hookworms. It is useful for giardiasis, trichuriasis,  filariasis, neurocysticercosis, hydatid disease, pinworm disease, and ascariasis, among others. Albendazole (Albenza) is the most common treatment for pinworms. It prevents newly hatched insect larvae (worms) from growing or multiplying in your body. It works by keeping the worm from absorbing sugar (glucose), so that the worm loses energy and dies.

 

MECHANISM OF ACTION: Anzol tablets, contains albendazole is an antiparasitic medication for the treatment of infections. Albendazole works by keeping the worm from absorbing sugar (glucose), so that the worm loses energy and dies.

 

INDICATION: Albendazole tablet has found its uses in the followings:

  • Round Worm
  • Thread Worm
  • Pin Worm
  • Tape Worm
  • Whip Worm

 

SIDE EFFECTS: Some of the common side effects by albendazole are

  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Abdominal pain
  • Headache or temporary hair loss may occur.
