TICSIL Cough Syrup for Croup Cough
Bromhexine Hydrochloride – Bromhexine is intended to support the body’s mechanisms for clearing mucus from the respiratory tract. It is secretolytic, increasing the production of serous mucus in the respiratory tract, which makes the phlegm thinner and less viscous. This contributes to a secretomotoric effect, allowing the cilia to more easily transport the phlegm out of the lungs.
Terbutaline Sulphate – Terbutaline is used to treat wheezing and shortness of breath from lung problems (e.g., asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchitis, and emphysema). Controlling these symptoms can decrease time lost from work or school. Terbutaline is a bronchodilator (beta-2 receptor agonist) that works by opening breathing passages to make breathing easier.
Guaiphenesin – Guaifenesin is used to treat coughs and congestion caused by the common cold, bronchitis, and other breathing illnesses. Guaifenesin is an expectorant. It works by thinning and loosening mucus in the airways, clearing congestion, and making breathing easier.
MECHANISM OF ACTION: Ticsil cough syrup, a combination of Bromhexine Hydrochloride, Terbutaline Sulphate, Guaiphenesin, and Menthol is an antitussive and expectorant cough mixture. Bromhexine Hcl works by reducing bronchial inflammation. Terbutaline Sulphate Prevents bronchospasm, Guaiphenesin reduces stickiness and menthol acts as a soothing agent in the Ticsil cough syrup.
