A broad-spectrum antibacterial and antiprotozoal suspension containing Ofloxacin and Metronidazole. It is formulated to help manage mixed bacterial and protozoal gastrointestinal infections associated with diarrhoea, dysentery, and intestinal disturbances.

Mechanism of Action

Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase enzymes, thereby preventing bacterial replication and growth.

Metronidazole is an antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent that disrupts microbial DNA synthesis, leading to the destruction of susceptible anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. Together, the combination provides effective coverage against mixed gastrointestinal infections.
