Mechanism of Action

Ofloxacin is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, thereby preventing bacterial replication and growth.

Metronidazole possesses potent antiprotozoal and antibacterial activity. It disrupts DNA synthesis in susceptible anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, leading to their destruction.
