Mechanism of Action

Levofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes, thereby preventing bacterial replication and growth.

Ornidazole is an antiprotozoal and anti-anaerobic agent that disrupts microbial DNA synthesis, leading to the destruction of susceptible protozoa and anaerobic bacteria. Together, the combination provides effective management of mixed gastrointestinal infections.
